Michigan Castle Weddings Make For a Unique and Special Wedding Ceremony

Many brides and grooms are looking for somewhere special to hold their wedding ceremony mainly because they are not affiliated with any type of Church or perhaps they have been living together for so long that they just want a simple ceremony yet still want something “off the beaten path”.  Castle weddings located in Charlevoix, Michigan could be just what a couple is looking for without having to travel outside the United States or to a beachfront resort where things could get very expensive for them and their guests.

A destination wedding to the Midwest may not seem all that romantic; however once a couple views the castle through their website or takes a trip to visit the castle and tours everything the castle has to offer for weddings, Michigan weddings begin to become very appealing.  Additionally, the Midwest offers a choice of four seasons in which to hold a wedding ceremony and many couples choose an outdoor “winter wonderland theme” and then holds their reception inside the castle.

The castle has several different gardens throughout the grounds in which to hold a wedding ceremony in any type of weather and flowers and gardens are not your thing, there are different rooms, unique areas and a chapel that could each accommodate a couple exchanging vows along with all their many guests.

There are a number of bridal suites within the castle in addition to large rooms for a wedding reception to be held after the wedding.  Many brides and grooms choose various themes for their castle weddings – which are not limited to the fairy tale “Prince and Princess” but could be anything the couple’s imagination can dream up. Some couples are into “Knights and Queens” which lends itself perfectly to the castle theme while others hold a traditional wedding with the castle as simply a unique backdrop.

If the couple to be wed does not live in Michigan, they should send the invitations at least two to three months in advance of the wedding date in order to give everyone an opportunity to make arrangements for travel and hotel accommodations.
